Surprise, surprise, the girl who retreated from the blogging world has appeared again, after more than a year!

Frankly speaking, i have no idea what to blog about, and i assume it does not matter because i am sure absolutely not a single soul will be reading this (serves me right for not blogging for eons).

In the past year or so.. many things had happened indeed.. that changed my life in a way or another. Mostly good things, i should say, in spite of thinking that 2009 would be a terrible year last year. So, 2010 has already arrived (more than 6 months ago, oops), and i am currently coping well with it. Not too terrible, i should say.

None the less, i am currently faced with problems which i've never expected myself to face. But.. I'm strong-willed and i will live through all these ups and downs of life. I should say that miracles do happen, because i have seen them for myself. Perhaps, in my case, such miracles do not last long. Still, i believe that you can change your fate!

Who said life is a garden of roses and sunshine?

At this point of time, my band life has practically came to an end. I've stepped down already, unofficially though, since POP will only be in November, after my O levels. I still have to practice on my horn though, for i am playing the horn as my second instrument for my Music O levels.

I have been through all the big and small events and happenings of my CCA, and i am sure i will miss such experiences and memories(happy/unhappy ones) of being a band member.. at least for now, because i will most likely be joining band in jc, no?

It's the June holidays now, and although i have tons of work to do or catch up, i am really thankful that i can wake up later these days. Indeed, 6 am and 8 am makes a world of a difference!

Well. I shall come to a final full stop soon, and you will not be hearing me until a few years later, perhaps. What you read earlier on was pretty crappy, it was just stuff that came out of my head without second thoughts. The non-blogger in me is still unwilling to let out all the exciting happenings of my life!

And now, i shall settle back into my shell and not blog for another few months/years. Till then!

I think the band should learn and understand that Mr Tan, our conductor, is not a metronome. A conductor is someone who puts all our musicality and our emotions together. A conductor is there to guide us on the right path to express our music together. We should not play music as an individual, but play it as a whole. We should look constantly at the conductor so that we understand what kind of feelings, what kind of emotions, what kind of music the piece represents. By looking at the conductor, band members will be able to think together, feel together and make music as a whole. We should look at the conductor constantly while playing music. As i sit by the synthesizer, i can see almost everyone in the band. Our weakness is that we just love the score so much. We love to scrutinize the black dots and stems. If everyone will just pull their eyes away from the stand, from the plain scores, we will be able to understand what the conductor wants, what the conductor think of the piece and hence be able to perform music together. I said, perform and make music, not play out the score. So what if individuals are able to perform music? If we do not look at the conductor and understand what kind of music he wants us to play, we will not be able to express musicality as a whole. What we play will just become the musicality of individuals.

hello!
i haven't blogged for sometime, so i've decided to update for a lil before it's really inactive or dead.

life hasn't been pleasant AT ALL recently.
school-lots and lots of tests ): we have 3 pure, 2 tests per pure, so there's 6 tests in total. others who have only 1 pure will have only 4 tests. that's the negative side of being in the top and best class. oh well!
band- SYF is drawing near. scared, really. i hope i don't screw my parts, especially for piano where my piano part is really exposed.
piano- my diploma is in june, went for registration just now. man! i need to find time to do my programme notes!

i'm still learning time management and impulsivity.
:D (fang hong has heard enough of me managing impulsivity).
oh well.

oh well!
enough of updates.
shall be back in the next century/millennium or somewhere around then.

hello, sec 3 adventure camp ended today.

came home today with severe sunburns all over my hands and especially my neck :\ it's painful. and i've turned super tanned. i think they'll fade off sooner or later. i don't want my face to be any darker. LOL, i prefer white(Amanda's?). my arms are super tanned ._. lol, i don't mind my arms getting tanned, duh.

crap, NRIC photo taking on Friday. i hope i won't grow any pimples since i didn't wash my face carefully cause of the limited bathing and washing up time ._. it's a camp.

camp's okay (: shan't elaborate. just go bloghopping around amkss sec 3s blogs and you'll find more descriptions.

just chionged finish geog homework. tsktsk, we have camp leh! so 1 week minus 3 days of camp.. left with 4 days to do geog homework! ): and they're a lot, not what fill in the blanks ws ._.

SCHOOL
has been great so far (:
people in 3/5 are nice and friendly.
though, the stress in that "role model" class, i predict, will be alot.
imagine every teacher who comes into that class on the 1st day and keeps reminding we're pure sciences class and that we have to be better than others.. etc. etc.
i'm currently sitting beside yi zhen and i suppose for the next 2 years i'll continue to do so as i'm register 17, she's 18.
(: i like bernice, her partner and amelia. they're v. friendly, i tell you!

PIANO
yup, i'm getting a piano.
Kawai upright grand.
heh, it's coming in tomorrow.
didn't buy a grand cause of the lack of space.
i'm going to miss my old piano ):
BOOHOOOOOO. i've been playing on it for 10 years ++ for goodness sake.
imagine me practising on it when i was 4.
vroom vroom, time passes fast.
approximately 10 years later, i'm 14 going 15.
and oh well, a Kawai upright grand takes over my Yamaha academic model.
the yamaha was nice to play and i swear, i can don't tune for like, 3 years but it's still perfectly working well w/o any defaults.
and i remember when i was young, 6? 7? years old, i used a BLUE color pencil and drew secretly on the wood that's on the the keyboard- whatever you call that thing. :D
heh.

anyway, the piano is coming in tomorrow.
i'll be waiting eagerly.

BAND
practised Overture 2 today.
the band practised/played With heart and voice, while i sat there listening and looking at my score and counting the bars.
during sectionals on Friday, i went for individuals(sectionals by myself?) at the foyer on the piano. stupid piano, sound is so muffled and the keys are not working ._.

yesterday the whole lot of cousins [maternal side] visited my house to celebrate my brother's birthday in advance..

ahaha, i feel so happy today :D
that's because the past few days were marking days,
and i believed that i had spent my time very wisely.
like, playing the piano, reading books, going out.
yuppyupp :D

finally the 'holidays' are here and nothing or nobody to bother me,
so i can like totally sit down there and concentrate playing the piano.
i finally sat down and practise each and every bar of my pieces.
yesyes, i'm inspired by piano no mori. and shizheng. LOL.

i don't think he'll see this anyway.

well anyway.
i was practising out bach and moonlight sonata.
stupiddddd.. my hands not long enough to reach alot of the an octave and 1 note.

hello!
today.. i was thinking, and i found out that in my 14 years of living in this earth till now,
i have actually done a lot of things i regretted.
and among them, there's 2 which i will never ever forget.
i shall share them with you, haha (:

1st thing-
well... i was stupid enough to be influenced by my other friends and i really did some mean things to my ex best friend. (that was in primary school). and i felt really mean and.. don't know how to say. back stabbed her.. yeah :X she didn't do anything wrong to me, yet i followed others and thought that she wasn't a nice person to be with D: that was really regretful because if i had ignored others who tried to say bad things about her, i believed we would've been best friends till we graduated. well, we're still friends, but i really missed being her best friend. i love her! <3 we'll still be friends forever :D

2nd thing-
uh. this is not very easy to explain. hmmm, okay. so there was this guy who liked me and in the end i rejected him off very extremely indirectly and in the end he got hurt and it spoiled our friendship. i thought that i should had told him directly instead of indirectly. in the end, i supposed he hated me and we didn't even manage to end off well being friends :X he was a really nice guy, and it would've been great if we were still friends. i believe he still dislikes me till now. but still, since its over, let it be. to him- thanks for all your efforts to put a smile on my face last time. i'm sorry for all the indirect things i've done. sorry no cure.. yeah. but i hope we could had ended off as friends. too bad :X

Hmmm, today. Wasn’t very pleasant, I suppose.

Yesterday was good.
I went to band yesterday, and I managed to reach high high c often, I guess.
I was really proud and happy of that! :D
But my tone quality was.. bad.
So I guess I shall work on that too.
Oh and shi zheng asked me to play a lot of difficult stuff after I can reach high high c,
So I shall work on what he said.
Hmmm..

Outside band? Life in school was pretty boring I guess.
Piano? Went for piano lesson today, played Schubert pretty well, but not for the others.
Teacher talked to me about my diploma exams next year, and I figured that I have a lot to work on. So I guess I have to work really harder because I’m like.. not doing very well now.

Yesterday’s ypsb concert was a great performance, after all the hard work everyone put in, including the conductors mr shuichi komiyama and mr tan (: I stayed back like 5 days as I was in both bands -.-

I really want to thank all those who were present and gave me flowers chocolates cards and their well wishes. Initially, I thought that I wouldn’t receive anything. I love you guys <3

I’m going to miss ypsb band practices with mr komiyama and everyone else, so much man. Seriously. I met some friends there! I think the music we made yesterday was so filled with energy, despite the fact that everyone was so tired. Especially those from ang mo kio who had to play the music for ndp in school.

I did not regretted my accompaniment part with Elijah!we worked really hard. Although we didn’t perform as great as we used to during rehearsal, I think we did our best! :D

Elijah! It was really nice working with you! :D I’m really sorry about the single wrong note I’ve made during our part, though. Haha. Both of us weren’t as expressive as we could be. But overall I thought it was okay (: I hope to work with you again!

And I was really proud of myself that I plucked up the courage and gave Elijah the well done letter I’ve written myself. It was written after the performance in our holding room, so it was not very neat. But it were the thoughts that count! :D

is a nicer piece.

OMG I AM GOING CRAZY.
i just typed out 10 pages of home economics task analysis.
omgomgomg.
10 pages! the first time i had ever typed out anything that long.
and it is alreay 12:35 am.
and i had not COMPLETED MY TASK ANALYSIS!
but its due on friday.
have lots of time to complete.

and to think that i had actually wanted to complete my Newspaper Reflections by today on the comp. i guess i don't have the energy to do that now.
i shall do it tomorrow.

i'm sooo tired out.

friday went out with section. kbox.
today, saturday, went out with my dearest miss tan jia hui cousin who had gone slimmer and might be taller than me anytime soon >.< took neoprints, went kbox, watched GET SMART. super nice. but a little like NATIONAL TREASURE.

tomorrow is fringe performance.
today band was really tiring :|
yawn, I'm so freaking tired!
had to go home myself too, because my mom had to settle some rental stuff.
something about renting 'signature park' condo to some foreigner.

lets see, I'm totally NOT free on Saturday, i have 2 tuitions on Sunday, and the next whole week I'm free! :D well, except for English lessons on Monday, piano lessons on Thursday, and Chinese and math tuitions on Sunday.

hmmm, this whole june holidays.. nothing going on,
almost everyday is spent on band activities and practise,
and tuitions.
there's the fringe performance on.. saturday.
omg, that shizheng went to ask me to play the part 'one only'.
sheesh.
at first i was like super scared.
then after that mabel told me not to be scared and explained to me some stuff,
so i was not scared (:
but i bet i'll be on saturday.
irritating.

wanted to go out shopping on thursday with geraldine,
but she suddenly had training, so cancelled.
so went off to band.
practised lots.
did 100 pumpings to shi zheng.
raaaaar! >.<
but i'd rather do lots of pumpings then to give him some money.

my tone has improved!
to mabel- really!!
but still, my high notes.. still has the 'stuck' kind of tone.
so.. im still working on long notes for like 1 hour to 2 hours on my middle range.
whoo! i like Andy man, he taught me 5 minutes and my tone has the warm sound.
although not as warm as si ping's. or andy's - of course.
but its round! :D

but i don't want shi zheng to transfer to trumpet!
although he always gets pissed off easily and become impatient and walks off, and scares me..
but he's still a french horn section member! needless to say, a bmm too and a brass master too! D:

but still! :D my tone improved.
so.. working towards.. being having a tone as round as si ping's.
and constantly having a round tone.
then the next step will be.. :] having a round tone for my higher range. uh, thats hard!

coming to think of it, its quite scary.

i haven't been posting lately.
there's lots of band practices and stuff.

im so free these days, that im so bored,

there's going to be an instructor to take us for drills,
and he's really strict, really fierce!
i hope i can gather all my energy and concentrate on drills.
Dao wei took us for drills yesterday,
still had problems with my marching.
but its okay towards the end ^.^
POP's on saturday,
coming to think of it,
i sure will miss mabel and amanda.
hmmm, i don't know what is it like to be a sectional leader,
because im not one and i hope i will never be one, seriously.
being a sectional leader is tough, as mabel have to always..
worry about us, scold us, trying skipping AP just to take us for sectionals or to guide us,
sms us about all the practises, having to inform us everything, having to listen carefully to each member of the horn section and try to improve us.
and the list goes on..
so yingying! :D poor her, she'll be the sectional leader next year, i bet! :D

im going to vent all my anger in this post, so don't read this post if you don't want to read all the anger and stuffs.
so here goes.

im so damn fucking pissed off from early in the morning,
and was totally pissed off and disappointed for the whole day.
disheartened after i received my results,
felt irritated because the whole class is fucking noisy and couldn't concentrate on math.
felt fuckingly pissed off during classroom cleaning.
went for student council investiture later on,
was ok for the rest off the day until some time later.
then after that pissed off, then later at night was so totally fustrated and blah blah.
so damn pissed off.
felt super angry after doing some fucking homework.
now i hate my damned fucking computer.
its like, sheesh, just smash it against the wall and buy a new one?
its slow because it's caught the virus.
and now we've to quick restore and everything is so damn fucking troublesome.
futhermore, we just quick restored last week? damned.

im back from NEWYORK :D
